Just so you know I haven't forgotten. I'm still working on the "how to" post for the upholstered headboard, and remember that stainless steel look desk I did? I'm putting together a "how to" for that as well. A lot of you seemed to think that desk was a lot of work and must have taken forever. It didn't! So stay tuned for that, but I'm switching gears here for a minute.
Remember the Gold Leaf Rub n' Buff stencil I did in my entryway? Seems like ages ago now. Here it was before. This is actually a picture of the opposite side of the entryway but both sides of the room look the same, so no biggie.
Here it is after the stencil went up.
You can see that full post here. I got the stencil online from Stencils-decals, and used a tube of Gold Leaf Rub n' Buff for the shiny gold effect. I've been trying to decide what color scheme I was going to use with my new Gold Leaf stenciled wall.
Hmmmm. how about turquoise and orange...(Yes the lamp shades are missing in action)

That's a gi-normous painting I found at a flea market, I like all the colors in it, with my console table that I repurposed from an old mid century modern loveseat. I don't mind the floating glass in front of the picture. That turquoise ottoman used to be brown leather, but... the Rub n' Buff got to it! I have two of these ottomans the other one went gold. In case you missed that post you can see it here.
I'm still looking for lamp shades, but... I think they will be black.
I found these great brass lamps at a yard sale! I LOVE them
Then there is my brass umbrella holder with wooden walking sticks! Also flea market finds!
I found this Fiddle Leaf Fig tree at Lowe's. These are great indoors, they go both ways, low light or high light. Mine is just a baby, but it will grow big and tall.
So it's still in the works. Still looking for light shades, and a few other odds and ends, oh and the whole other side of the room. : )
Have a happy weekend!!
Smiles!
